URL (Uniform Resource Locator)

The descriptor used on the World Wide Web to identify a specific site or file. The URL combines the protocol being used (HTTP), with the site address (netinfo.tsarfin.com), directory path (/images/), and (sometimes) a filename. For example, http://netinfo.tsarfin.com/images/screenshot.gif.
