Using the Local Info Tool

Local Info is a network tool that lets you obtain information about local host and currently active version of the Windows Sockets. It also reports full network adapter information for the local computer.

You can use the Local Info tool to:

Identify your computer on the network.
Query your implementation of the Windows Sockets to determine what basic information is available.

To use the Local Info tool, do the following:

1.Select the Local Info tab.

 

The Local Info tool displays the results in the Response area.

 

2.Click the Refresh button to update the results in the Response area.

Tip: You can right-click the Response area to display the pop-up menu.
